In a bold move to enhance efficiency and service quality, the UAE Government has launched the Zero Government Bureaucracy (ZGB) programme.
This ambitious initiative aims to review and overhaul the current government work structure by eliminating redundant procedures and significantly simplifying administrative processes.
The ZGB programme, announced during the UAE government’s annual meetings, aligns with the UAE’s pioneering vision for a streamlined and innovative government experience. This vision began with the smart government initiative in 2013, which aimed to provide round-the-clock services to the UAE community.
The new directives under ZGB include canceling at least 2,000 government measures, halving procedure times, and removing unnecessary bureaucracy within a year. The initiative will unfold in three phases, supporting ministries and federal entities in achieving these targets while developing specialized solutions to tackle challenges.
